The City of Billings, Street - Traffic Division, will be closing Yellowstone River Road on Thursday, May 15, 2008, and Friday, May 16, 2008.  This project may extend into Monday, May 19, 2008 if necessary.

The closure will be from Bench to Irstan, in two phases.  Thursday, phase one, will close Bench to Hawthorne leaving the intersection of Hawthorne open.  Upon reaching Hawthorne, phase two will begin, scheduled for Friday, and the closure will change to Hawthorne to Irstan.

Please remember to use an alternate route during this time.

Yellowstone County, Public Works Department, Road and Bridge Division, will close Becraft Lane to all traffic on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, between Mitzie Drive and Saddle Lane for culvert replacement.

Please remember to use and alternate route.

This project is scheduled to be completed late Wednesday, May 14, 2008.

Construction is underway on the Aronson extension project that will extend the avenue southward to meet Alkali Creek Road and add about 3000 feet of new roadway to Aronson.  Currently construction will not be affecting traffic except for a small portion of the roadway just past Camel Place on the north side of the jobsite.

Beginning Monday, January 7, 2008, at 8:00 a.m., Knife River (formerly JTL Group, Inc.) began installing underground utilities and reconstructing King Avenue from Shiloh Road to 32nd Street West.

This phase of construction is expected to be completed in July 2008.

During this time, King Avenue will be closed from 32nd Street West to Shiloh Road to through traffic.  The intersections of Kind Avenue at both 32nd Street West and Shiloh Road will remain open to traffic.

Expect reduced speeds and other traffic control devices.
